Portage la Prairie RCMP have arrested a 28-year-old Winnipeg man after he allegedly grabbed a 12-year-old girl in a Portage la Prairie hotel pool.
Police say the incident happened Sunday evening, September 12, 2020.
An adult male approached a group of youth in the pool and began asking probing questions. During the conversation the male grabbed the 12-year-old girl, pulled her towards him and refused to let her go as she struggled to get away say investigators.
The girl was eventually able to break free and rejoin the group of youth in the pool.
The suspect is facing a number of charges for his alleged involvement including Sexual Interference and forcible confinement. He was released from custody and will appear in a Portage la Prairie court on November 10th
