Brandon Police say the man had been driving on 65th Street East and drove off the road into the river. The male showed signs that he may be impaired so officers arrested him for impaired driving.
Breath samples were taken and they exceeded the legal limit.
The suspect was released on a promise to appear in Court on October 16, 2017.
