On May 28 a 33 year old male was picked up in St. Boniface by police under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act of Manitoba and taken to the Main Street Project.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. Main Street Project staff determined that the male was unresponsive. The victim was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Winnipeg Police Major Crimes unit is investigating.
