Winnipeg Police say that a male taken to hospital in critical condition after being injured in a house fire on Simcoe Street has died in hospital.

Several people were in the home at the time of the fire. An Adult female was also taken to hospital in critical condition but has been upgraded to stable condition. Another adult male was treated and released from hospital.
Police and fire investigators are continuing to look into the cause of the blaze that also spread to a neighbouring home.
