RCMP says that a 52-year-old male has died after falling through the ice on the Red River on Sunday March 21, 2021.
Police say the male had walked onto the ice near Memorial Park in Selkirk around 12:15 pm. The male was about 50 – 100 metres from shore when he fell through.
Selkirk Fire department found the male and pulled him to shore. Although attempts were made to revive the victim he was pronounced dead at the scene.
