RCMP are continuing to investigate a fatal collision that happened on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Winnipeg.
Police say that on Sunday evening, around 7:15 pm, a semi truck struck a farm tractor on Highway 1 near Road 54 in the RM of Reynolds.
The 51-year-old male driver of the tractor was ejected onto the highway and pronounced dead. A 33-year-old female who was also on the tractor was also ejected onto the highway. She was taken to hospital with critical injuries in unstable condition. Her condition has now improved and she is stable.
The 70-year-old driver of the semi from Montreal was not injured
