Winnipeg Police are investigating an incident that occurred late Wednesday afternoon in the area of St. Mary’s Road and Meadowood Drive.
Just after 3:20 pm a woman was driving in the area when a 29 year old man covered in blood jumped into the front passenger side of her vehicle and demanded she “Drive”. Two other females were chasing the suspect.
The woman drove her vehicle to the area of St. Mary’s Road and Vista Avenue where the suspect jumped out of the vehicle and starting to run in traffic.
At this point the man then tried to enter another vehicle but was unsuccessful. This vehicle was damaged after the man punched it.
Shortly after the man got into a third vehicle and was driven a short distance before he once again got out and began kicking and punching vehicles
Police caught up with the man who was suffering a cut to his upper body. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to unstable condition.
An investigation has revealed that the man had been injured at a home in the 100 block of Glen Meadow Street but police do not yet know how he was injured.
The man will be facing charges of Mischief and Utter Threats for his alleged involvement.
