Man Cleared in Child Exploitation Case

In a recent turn of events, the Manitoba RCMP Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit has cleared Scott Joseph Taylor, 34, of all charges related to the ongoing investigation. Taylor, who was initially implicated in the case, has had all of his charges formally stayed in court.

The ICE unit had previously executed a search warrant at Taylor’s residence in Portage la Prairie based on initial information suggesting his involvement in the investigation. The search led to the discovery of firearms at the location.

However, following a thorough review of the case, the ICE unit has determined that Taylor was not involved in the incident under investigation.

Police say Three additional victims have since come forward to investigators.

The investigation continues.
