A 27-year-old Winnipeg man is facing charges for committing an indecent act on Winnipeg Transit buses multiple times between November 2022 and January 2023.

Investigators say that a female teen who was a passenger on the bus on three separate occasions reported the incidents to police.

Using surveillance video from Winnipeg Transit investigators were able to get a description of the suspect in order to identify him.

On January 17, the female was once again travelling on the same bus route around 3:30 pm when she saw the suspect performing another indecent act and called police. Officers stopped the bus at Wellington Crescent and Academy Road and took the male into custody.

Drayton MacKenzie Alger was charged for his alleged involvement with four counts of Indecent Act. He was released from custody with the consent of the crown.
