Man charged after meth-induced incident, say police

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, Winnipeg Police Tactical Support Team, K-9 Unit and general patrol officers responded to the 600 block of Sherbrook Street Sunday night, July 28, 2019, for the report of a male acting erratically.

When crews arrived the male was found on the roof of a home. For several hours the male sat on the roof occasionally speaking to police.

In an email to News 4, police say the male was uncooperative with officers and “appeared to be in methamphetamine-induced distress.”

In the early morning hours of Monday July 29, 2019, the male was safely taken into custody.

He has been charged with Mischief Over, Causing a Disturbance – Disturb the Peace and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
