Police charge man in fatal 2017 hit and run

Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 40-year-old male in the August 3, 2017 hit and run that killed 61-year-old Marlene Eusanio.

The collision happened in the 200 block of Marion Street at 11:45 in the morning. The driver of the the truck and trailer involved did not stop.

Police learned shortly after the fatal collision that both the truck and trailer had been stolen.

Police say that the suspect was arrested in Saskatchewan on August 11, 2017, and formally charged on December 1, 2017 but that information was not released at the time due to other court issues in Saskatchewan at the time.

Gator Albert Browne has been charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Involving Death
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death
  • Possess Property Obtained By Crime Over $5,000 x 2
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 X 2
  • Criminal Negligence Cause Death
