Winnipeg Police have charged the driver of the vehicle that hit a second vehicle which hit and killed a 31-year-old pedestrian near Polo Park in January 2019.
The collision occurred just before 3:30 pm at the intersection of Maroons Road and St. James Street. Police said at the time that they believed a southbound vehicle making an eastbound turn collided with a northbound vehicle. The northbound vehicle then struck a 31-year-old female pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital in critical condition where she was pronounced dead.
A 46-year-old male is facing charges of Disobey Traffic Control Device and Drive Careless Cause Death for his alleged involvement.
