Man charged after bringing a knife and drugs to court office

RCMP charged a 30-year-old male after he was caught with illegal drugs and a weapon inside the Provincial Court Office in Portage la Prairie.

According to police, the male went to the courthouse and was subsequently searched by Sheriffs. The search uncovered cocaine, meth and fentanyl along with a knife and a quantity of cash.

RCMP were then called and arrested Frederick Roulette.

He has been charged for his alleged involvement with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Carrying a Weapon to a Public Meeting, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and two counts of Fail to Comply.

He was detained in custody
