On Monday June 12, 2017 around 5:30 am police received a report of a robbery in the 800 block of Arlington Street.
Two people entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes. One of the suspects was armed with what appeared to be a machete.
Soon after police got involved in the case one man was located in the area and arrested. Police recovered the machete and a quantity of the stolen cigarettes.
32 year old Shayne Kelvin Curtis Peters from Winnipeg is facing charges of Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possess Weapon, Resist Peace Officers, Possess Scheduled Substance and Fail to Comply with Probation Order for his alleged involvement in the robbery.
Peters was detained in custody.
