MAN CAUGHT JUST HOURS AFTER ROBBING TWO WINNIPEG BANKS

Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 60 year old man shortly after he robbed a second bank on Friday June 16, 2017.

Police say that just after noon on Friday a financial institution in the 1300 block of Plessis Road reported that they had been robbed by a lone man. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled.

Six hours later at about 6:30 pm the robber hit another bank. This time the target was in the 1600 block of Regent Avenue West. Again he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators were able to identify the suspect quickly for both robberies and arrested a suspect just before 8:00 pm Friday evening in the 400 block of Henry Avenue.

Charged for his alleged involvement with Armed robbery using a firearm, posses firearm, restricted/prohibited weapon or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, robbery and possess weapon is 60 year old Gerald Joseph Pilon.
