Selkirk RCMP have arrested a 26 year old Scanterbury man after he crashed a stolen truck he was driving causing injuries to passengers in the vehicle.

On Saturday May 27, 2017 around 1:00 am Police stopped a truck on Highway 9 after it was clocked travelling at 130 kilometres per hour. The vehicle also did not have head or tail lights on.

Officers approached the vehicle but the driver did not turn off the vehicle after being ordered to do so by police. The truck took off as RCMP called in backup, several other officers responded. One of the passengers, a 37 year old woman from Winnipeg, was seriously injured and was taken to hospital. The other woman from Dauphin, aged 36, suffered minor injuries.

Police located the driver of the vehicle walking into Selkirk.
