A mothers worst fears came true on Thursday June 29, 2017 after a man tried to abduct her child.
It happened in the 300 block of McKenzie Street just before 3:00 pm. The mother was walking with her 4 year old daughter when a man grabbed the young girl and started to take off with her. The mother intervened and began to fight the man. She was able to free her daughter. For her efforts the mother received a minor injury. The child was not physically harmed.
Police are looking for an indigenous male in his late 20s with short dark hair, slim build, wearing diamond earrings. He was wearing a grey adidas hat, purple or blue Hugo Boss shirt, black track jacket, black pants with red sprips, red Nike shoes.
