Early Friday morning Winnipeg police and emergency medical services responded to the 200 block of Langside Street about reports of an injured male.

The 22 year old victim was taken to hospital with multiple injuries in unstable condition.

Police found a 23 year old male suspect in the area and arrested him.

Charges have not been laid at this time but the investigation is continuing by the Major Crimes Unit.
