On Saturday, November 10, 2018, RCMP in Selkirk responded to the report of an injured male around 5:00 am.
He was taken to hospital but died a few hours later.
Investigators identified a suspect and arrested 24-year-old Mitchell Brett Ritchot.
Richot was charged on November 15, 2018, with Manslaughter, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
Richot was detained in custody and made his first court appearance on Friday, November 16, 2018.
RCMP continue to investigate.
