Man and woman facing drug and weapon charges

Two people are facing drug and weapon charges after police responded to a suite in the 200 block of Good Street early Saturday morning.

Officers took a 26-year-old male and a 25-year-old female from Winnipeg into custody and seized a 12 gauge pump-action shotgun with ammunition. Police noticed that the weapon also had a damaged serial number. Officers also seized nearly $6300 worth of illegal drugs as well as an undisclosed amount of Cash.

Allan Michael James Wood from St. Theresa Point, has been charged for his involvement with

– Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
– Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
– Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x3)
– Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order (x3)
– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
– Possession of a Weapon
– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
– Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

He was detained in custody.

A 25-year-old female of Winnipeg has been charged with a number of drug and weapons offences and was released on a promise to appear.
