Man accused of murdering Rebecca Contois has been charged with three other homicides

Winnipeg Police Service has laid three additional murder charges against Jeremy Anthony Michael Skibicki.

Skibicki was originally charged with the killing of 24-year-old Rebecca Contois. Contois’s partial remains were found on Edison Avenue in May of 2022.

Detectives with the homicide unit continued the investigation and were able to establish that three other murders between March and May 2022, were also allegedly connected to Skibicki.

39-year-old Morgan Beatrice Harris and 26-year-old Marcedes Myran both of Winnipeg and members of Long Plain First Nation are believed to have been killed on or about the first four days of May 2022. A fourth female victim has been confirmed but has yet to be identified. She is believed to have been killed on or about March 15, 2022.

Police are asking for public assistance to help identify the fourth victim.

Investigators believe the victim was wearing a similar jacket to the one in the pictures above. The jacket is reversible with black on one side and black and white striped on the other and had the words ‘baby phat’ and a cat-like logo. The hood had fur surrounding it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at (204) 986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-8477.
