Male stabbed Friday night in critical condition

Winnipeg Police report that around 11:15 pm on Friday, August 18, 2017,  officers patrolling in the area of Sargent Avenue and McMicken Street were flagged down. The officers were told that a man was injured.
When police arrived on scene they found an 18-year-old male suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics attended and the victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Police have not said if there are any suspects or if arrests have been made in the case.
The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and has learned that after being stabbed, the victim stumbled onto the roadway at Sargent Ave. near Langside St. where he collapsed. Police say that due to his injury the victim may have appeared intoxicated. Investigators believe that people driving or walking in the area may have seen the victim as he struggled to stay on his feet.
