Winnipeg Police Service is investigating the assault and stabbing of a 28-year-old male outside the beer vendor behind the Balmoral Motor Hotel.

Police say they were called to the area around 10:45 pm on Tuesday night, July 7, 2020 for a report of a male being assaulted by a group of people.

When officers arrived they located the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition and has since been upgraded to stable.
