The Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit has successfully apprehended a key suspect in a drug trafficking investigation that began in November 2024. The investigation targeted individuals believed to be involved in drug trafficking activities.
On December 11, 2024, officers executed two search warrants, leading to the identification and detention of several individuals. However, a 41-year-old male and a 47-year-old suspect managed to evade arrest, prompting the issuance of warrants for their capture.
On December 26, 2024, Cory KOZMENSKI, 47, of Winnipeg, was located and arrested. KOZMENSKI faces a total of 21 charges related to drug trafficking, firearms offenses, and breaches of court conditions.
During his arrest, KOZMENSKI was found in possession of 13 Ecstasy pills, $10,333.35 in Canadian currency, and $400.00 in US currency. He has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – ECSTASY
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking (2 counts)
The Winnipeg Police Service continues to investigate this case, aiming to dismantle the network involved in these illegal activities. The arrest of KOZMENSKI marks a significant step in their efforts to combat drug trafficking in the community.
