Major Drug Bust by Winnipeg Police Yields Significant Seizures and Arrests

Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit, along with various support units, successfully executed a coordinated raid resulting in multiple arrests and substantial seizures of illegal substances, firearms, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The investigation, which began in December 2024, targeted a well-known street gang operating in the Downtown and West End neighborhoods, suspected of trafficking cocaine and hydromorphone. The efforts culminated on January 15, 2025, when the Guns & Gangs Unit, with the assistance of TST and Community Support Units from the North and West Districts, conducted search warrants at two residences and for a vehicle, leading to the arrest of eight individuals and the seizure of $250,000 worth of drugs, two firearms, body armor, and approximately $40,000 in proceeds of crime.

Investigators seized the following during their search:

  • Residence at 500 block of De La Seigneurie Boulevard:
    • 1900 grams of Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $80,000)
    • $38,670 in Canadian Currency and $107 in American Currency
    • 8014 white 8 mg Hydromorphone pills (Estimated Street Value: $160,000)
    • 300-500 MDMA pills (Estimated Street Value: $5,000)
    • 9mm loaded handgun with numerous rounds of ammunition
    • Various drug trafficking materials
  • Residence at 500 block of Langside Street:
    • 12 gauge pump-action shotgun
    • Ammunition
    • 24 white 8 mg Hydromorphone pills (Estimated Street Value: $500)
    • 24 grams of Crack Cocaine (Estimated Street Value: $1,900)
    • Prohibited Conducted Energy Weapon (taser-style)
    • Approximately $600 in Canadian Currency
    • Various drug trafficking materials

Officers arrested and charged the following suspects for their alleged involvement:

  • Matt DUCK, 22, charged with 14 offences related to drug trafficking and firearms, detained in custody.
  • Taylor BRUYERE, 22, charged with 11 offences related to drug trafficking and firearms, detained in custody.
  • Stephen MCKAY, 22, charged with 8 offences related to drug trafficking and firearms, detained in custody.
  • David PESCATELLI, 64, charged with 8 offences related to drug trafficking and firearms, detained in custody.
  • 19-year-old female of Swan Lake, MB, facing 11 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms, released on Undertaking.
  • 63-year-old female of Winnipeg, facing 11 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms, released on Undertaking.
  • 51-year-old female of Winnipeg, facing 7 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms, released on Undertaking.
  • 44-year-old female of Swan Lake, MB, facing 7 charges related to drug trafficking and firearms, released on Undertaking.
