Winnipeg are investigating two separate armed robberies Tha happened on Thursday, November 23, 2017.
The first robbery occurred Just after 4:00 pm when a male victim was selling his cell phone he had advertised online to the suspect. The victim went to a home in the 500 block of Atlantic Avenue to meet the buyer. The suspect got into the victim’s car and pulled out a machete. He then demanded the victim’s property. The male victim handed over his belongings and was able to flee the vehicle without injury and call police.
Police are looking for an Indigenous male, 18-19 years of age, 5’9″, and about 140 pounds with a thin build. He has acne on his face and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a grey hoodie, black jeans and a black toque.

The second unrelated robbery happened around 6:15 pm in the area of Clare Avenue and Hay Street. A 27 year old male was approached by two male suspects armed with a machete and bear spray. The suspects demanded that the man hand over his personal belongings. The victim did and the suspects took off.
One suspect is described as an Indigenous male, 18 – 22 years of age, 5’5″ – 5’7″ with a moustache. He was dressed in a black toque, black jacket and black pants.
The second suspect is described as an Indigenous male, 18-22 years of age, 5’7″, wearing a baseball cap, black hoodie with a white stripe on the front, and blue jeans.
