Winnipeg will be getting a new player in the home improvement market in 2018
Lowes Canada has announced that it will be expanding into Winnipeg next year with a new 95,000 square foot store at Kenaston and McGillvary .
It is expected that the new retail outlet will create about 125 jobs with an additional 30 – 35 seasonal positions.
“We believe this new store will allow us to become part of an established and active shopping hub, and will support our ongoing strategy to be the home improvement choice for Canadians. We are thrilled to be expanding into Winnipeg and see tremendous opportunity in this new market for us,” said Lowe’s Executive Vice President Jim Caldwell.
The new Lowes location will be situated near two other home improvement retailers Home Depot and Rona.
