Officer loses magazine and ammunition overnight

Winnipeg Police are asking for help in locating a missing piece of police equipment.

Police say that an on-duty police officer lost a plastic magazine for their service weapon sometime between 10:00 pm On Sunday, February 4, 2018, and  1:00 am on Monday, February 5, 2018.

The magazine contains 15 rounds of ammunition and is made of black plastic.

This is the second time this year that a magazine has been lost while an officer was on-duty.

If anyone locates the magazine, and/or the ammunition, please turn it into any police station or contact the Winnipeg Police Service non-emergency line at 204-986-6222.
