LONG PAW OF THE LAW HELPS OUT

Cadets kept canines safe

A couple of pooches on the loose had their adventures arrested by a group of quick thinking Winnipeg Police Service cadets this week.

The cadets were helping guard a crime scene when they saw a happy-go-lucky pair of dogs begin to run in and out of traffic on a busy street.  The furry duo appeared to be family pets, friendly and well-cared for, having an out-of-the-yard escapade.

The woofers shenanigans were cut short when the cadets saw the danger the dogs were in.  The friendly pups were captured and held for Animal Services.  A short time later, the animals’ worried owners came by and the cadets gave them information on where to go to reconnect with their four-legged friends.
