65 year old Leonard Samborski from Winnipeg is facing a number of charges after he allegedly drove a front-end loader into two RM of MacDonald bylaw officer vehicles.
It happened on Wednesday March 21, 2018, around 2:45 pm at the entrance to Samborski Environmental on Brady Road.
Police say that the bylaw officers had partially blocked the driveway to the property with their vehicles as they attempted to execute a warrant to seize the front-end loader. Samborski allegedly rammed the vehicles then left the property heading east on the Perimeter Highway. Winnipeg Police were able to pull the heavy equipment over on Pembina Highway near Bishop Grandin.

Samborski was handed over to RCMP who have charged him for his alleged involvement with Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Mischief Over $5000 x2, Assault on a Peace Officer x3, Fail to Stop at Scene of Collision, and Flight from Peace Officer While Pursued.
He has been released on a promise to appear.
