RCMP have arrested a 24-year-old man from Moose Lake with firearms-related offences and breaches following an incident in The Pas just after midnight on March 16, 2022.
Officers received a report of threats being made, and were searching the general area where the incident was thought to have happened, when they came across several individuals walking on Trager Drive. The people were stopped by police, but took off on foot.
After a brief pursuit the individuals were arrested. One of them, who was also wanted on several outstanding warrants, was found to be in possession of ammunition when searched.
Officers searched the area nearby and found a loaded shotgun.
Charges against Wyatt Campbell, 24, include resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm, weapons possession contrary to order, fail to comply x 7. He was remanded into custody, while the others were released without charges.
The police investigation is continuing.
