Clouds of black smoked billowed from a St. Boniface business Monday afternoon

Thick black smoke could be seen billowing from a Dawson Road business Monday, November 5, 2018.

The business in question is a seed processing plant owned by a company listed as  Friendly Family Farms Ltd.

Fire officials say that they do not know what started the fire and it was too big a blaze to fight from the inside so firefighters were pouring thousands of gallons of water from multiple lines set up outside the building.
