
A 28-year-old male accused of kidnapping a female in her 20s on November 1, 2021 has been arrested by Winnipeg Police Service.
Jason Robert Baker was arrested around noon on Sunday, December 5, 2021, while driving a stolen vehicle.

Police say that officers attempted to stop Baker but he failed to comply . He collided with a police cruiser and was taken into custody.
Baker has been charged for his alleged involvement based on a warrant for Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Utter Threats, Robbery and a Warrant for HTA Drive Suspended. In addition he also was charged with a number of other offences including Theft of Motor Vehicle, two counts of Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon, Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer, Operation of a Conveyance While Impaired, Fail or Refuse to Comply with Demand, Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats.
Baker was detained in custody.
