Keystone Party officially registered with Elections Manitoba

Elections Manitoba announced a new political party has officially been registered in Manitoba.

Members of the party collected 2,500 signatures from people who were eligible voters in the last general election. The signatures and required forms and statements were provided to the provincial agency. The Keystone Party is now registered under The Election Financing Act.

Registration will now permit the party to:

  • be identified on the ballot beside the name of its endorsed candidates,
  • accept contributions and issue tax receipts for them,
  • receive reimbursement for election expense, and
  • participate in advisory committees.

The Keystone Party is now the seventh political party currently registered with the province and their leader is Kevin Friesen.
