Homicide detectives are investigating the homicide of a 48-year-old male who had been found in the 300 block of Kennedy Street suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say that just after midnight on June 10, 2021, officers responded to reports that someone had been shot. When they arrived they found the victim laying on the ground with serious injuries. He was given emergency first-aid until paramedics arrived then taken to hospital in critical condition. The victim died shortly afterwards.

Investigators have identified the victim as Marlon Jose Chamorro-Gonzales from Winnipeg.
