Homicide investigators have arrested a 27-year-old male in connection to the murder of Marlon Chamorro-Gonzales.
The victim was located by police shortly after midnight on Thursday June 10, 2021 near Kennedy Street and Ellice Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital in critical condition but died shortly afterwards.
Michael Theodore Jay Edwards, 27 from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder, Possess Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm and Possess Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order.
Edwards was detained in custody.
