Winnipeg Police responded to a pepper spray attack on five students outside Kelvin High School on Thursday, December 06, 2018, around 11:30 am.
It is not known how concentrated the spray was but police say the victims were decontaminated and did not require medical treatment in hospital.
The suspect is another male student and it is not known what predicated the attack.
Kelvin was not put into a lockdown but parents have been notified about the incident.
Police arrested the suspect around 5:00 pm after he turned himself in to officers at the West District Station. He is facing five counts of Assault with a Weapon and Possess Weapon charges and was released on a promise to appear in court.
