Health-care workers in Manitoba who provided false information in order to receive the COVID-19 vaccine could find themselves in hot water.
The Manitoba government has issued a new emergency order under the Emergency Measures Act that now allows Shared Health to investigate and confirm the eligibility of health-care workers who have received vaccinations.
If it is found a health-care worker lied in order to receive immunization the information can be shared with their employer, professional regulatory body and law enforcement.
The new order is retroactive to December 12, 2020, the first day vaccinations were offered in Manitoba.
