Judicial Recount in Elmwood and Maples

Court of Queen’s Bench Judge orders a recount for both the Maples and Elmwood ridings after lawyers for the PC Party requested them.

The recounts will occur at the beginning of next week.  Elections Manitoba staff will provide the ballots and administer the recounts under the supervision of the judge.

In Elmwood NDP Jim Malay won by 101 votes however there were 62 rejected and 160 declined ballots in that riding.

In the Maples Molinder Saran (NDP) beat Sidhu Kaur (PC) by 127 votes. There were 65 rejected ballots and 57 declined ballots in that riding.
