RCMP have charged a guard who worked in the Pukatawagan detachment with second degree murder for his alleged involvement in the death of a 22-year-old female found in the woods on June 26, 2020.

RCMP say that 22-year-old August Caribou had only worked in the detachment in Pukatawagan since June 5, 2020, was an employee of the Corps of Commissionaires. He was responsible for monitoring prisoners being held in detachment cells according to a statement from the RCMP.
Police say that there is no link between his employment, the victim and the charges against him.
RCMP released his employment information in an effort to be transparent in the investigation.
