A 17-year-old male thought that it was a good idea to carry an 18-inch machete onto a Winnipeg Transit bus.
Police say that on October 1, 2017, just before 5:00 pm the youth got on a bus at Main Street and Manitoba Avenue. He had the weapon concealed down his pant leg.

Foot patrol officers happened to be on the bus and noticed the handle of the machete sticking out of his waistband.
The youth was disarmed and arrested. He has been charged with Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Carry Concealed Weapon.
The identity of the youth is withheld because he is underage.
