Investigators looking for spray-painting suspect

Winnipeg Police are looking for the suspect responsible spray painting a number of Pembina Highway businesses with hateful graffiti in the early morning hours of July 22, 2021.

Police say that ten businesses including a bank, church, gift shop, cafe, supermarket, two medical centres, law firm, drugstore and a hair salon were vandalized with swastikas and other hate related graffiti.

Police are looking to identify a male who is seen spray painting one of the businesses in surveillance video.

The male appears to be in his 20s to 30s and was wearing lime green shorts, a plaid shirt and a red and white cap. He had a black gym bag slung across his body.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at 204-986-6219 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-8477.
