Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes investigators are still looking for help from the public to identify the suspect in a serious assault on April 19, 2023.
Police say the man is accused of assaulting a woman in her 40s after getting into her vehicle that was in a parking lot in the 800 block of Portage Avenue. The assault continued after the woman escaped the vehicle. She was thrown to the ground as the assault continued. A passerby began shouting at the suspect which caused the suspect to flee.
Police have released additional information regarding the suspect’s description. He is described as:
- a white male in his 40s-50s
- a thin build
- shaggy reddish salt/pepper-coloured hair
- beard with the same colouring
- blue eyes
- decayed/stained teeth
- Wearing: red slip-on sandals
