Investigation results in a large police presence at Selkirk and McGregor

Winnipeg Police Service was out in force on Monday evening, July 12, 2021, near Selkirk Avenue and McGregor Street.

Officers with the Tactical Support Team, general patrol and other units descended on the area closing off McGregor Street in both directions south of Selkirk Avenue.

Police brought in their Armoured vehicle and officers were seen in the lanes north and south of Selkirk Avenue.

A spokesperson for Winnipeg Police Service told News 4 that due to the status of the investigation they were unable to release any information about the incident at this time.

While officers were conducting their investigation Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service arrived to battle an unrelated house fire.
