Winnipeg Police have charged a 39-year-old male with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking after more than $12,000 in methamphetamine was found in a community correctional facility.
Police say that on July 21, 2018, they arrested Daniel Leonard Huddlestone from the correctional facility on Main Street after he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for parole violations. He was taken into custody and taken back to Stony Mountain Institution.
Police were called back to the Main Street facility two days later after correction officers located the drugs in the inmate’s room while cleaning it out. 18 ounces of meth were seized by police.
On October 31, 2018, Huddlestone was arrested while still in custody and charged.
