Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded a fire in a vacant two-storey building around 2:20 am on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

As crews arrived on the scene intense flames and heat greeted them. The fire was fully involved and crews immediately launched a defensive attack.

Firetruck mounted water cannons were used in the front and rear of the structure as firefighters also used handlines to attack the flames.

Shortly after crews arrived the rear of the building collapsed followed by one of the side walls moments later

Crews were able to knock the flames down within about 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
