Hamiota teacher arrested for inappropriate texting to a student

RCMP have arrested and charged a 25-year-old Hamiota Collegiate teacher after he allegedly sent inappropriate texts to a student at the school.

Hamiota is about 287 kilometres west of Winnipeg

Police say that on November 8, 2017, they received a complaint that the student had received the texts.

Officers investigated and spoke to the victim.

Dylan Woodcock from Hamiota has been charged for his alleged involvement with Sexual Exploitation of a young person and indecent communications.

He was taken into custody and appeared in a Brandon court today.

The investigation continues
