Impaired drivers arrested after crashing into building in two separate incidents

Winnipeg Police are investigating after two impaired drivers crashed into buildings in two unrelated incidents.

At around 11:30 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022, a pickup truck crashed into the front of a home on Weatherdon Avenue.

Speed played a factor in the collision. The vehicle suffered significant damage.

The 54-year-old male driver of the vehicle was taken into custody by police. He is facing charges for his alleged involvement of Operation of a Conveyance While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both and Fail or Refuse to Comply with Demand.

Just over three hours later at approximately 2:45 am on Sunday, November 27, a 23-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly crashed into several vehicles and a building in the 1700 block of Pembina Highway.

He is facing charges of Operation of a Conveyance While Impaired to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both and Fail or Refuse to Comply with Demand.
