Brandon Police have arrested a 22-year-old impaired male after officers found him sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle early Monday morning, October 15, 2019.
Police say they were called to a home after a verbal altercation had erupted between family members. When they arrived the suspect as well as a 24-year-old female had already left the residence.
Officers found the pair a short distance away inside a vehicle. The male was arrested for having Care and Control of the vehicle while impaired. Two breath samples were taken and they indicated the man had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
The male was released after he was taken to Brandon Regional Health Centre for a non-related medical issue. He was released from police custody and given a court daye of October 21, 2019.
The female in the vehicle was also impaired and was taken into custody and held at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.
