An illegal cannabis dispensary has been shut down and the operator placed under arrest.
Manitoba First Nations Police Service raided the “High Expectations Marijuana Dispensary” on Roseau River Anishinaabe First Nation, about 100 kilometres south of Winnipeg.
Police say that they got wind of the dispensary operating in the community in January after an informant told them staff were selling cannabis without a license.
An investigation ensued and a search warrant was obtained.
Officers seized cannabis products and cash.
A 49-year-old female was arrested and charged for her alleged involvement with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Unlawful Sale of Cannabis.
She was released on a promise to appear in court.
